Originating in the Piedmont region of Northern Italy, Piedmontese cattle naturally develop significantly more muscle compared to other breeds, but very little corresponding fat. At the same time, the beef remains tender resulting in a lean beef that doesn’t rely on fatty marbling for tenderness, is higher in protein and Omega 3 while lower in calories.
